The History and Culture of Olive Oil:  Bernard Hubbard stepped in to cover this talk after the Circle was let down by The Real Olive Company.  His initial interest in Olive Oil was from knowing the health benefits of this 'liquid gold'.  The rest (as they say) is history.  Includes Olive oil tasting.

The Italians at War 1940-1945: Dr Morgan will correct the views of those brought up on the propaganda of World War Two and the tales of Pepone and Don Camillo.  Italy and the Italians had far more difficult moral and strategic problems to solve than we did.

The Rise of Naturalism in Italian Art 1280-1350: Dr Dennison has researched and taught the History of Art for a number of years specialising in the art and architecture of the Gothic and Renaissance Periods.  She has published extensively on illuminated manuscripts of the fourteenth century and their relationship to the present day.
